Small Passageway Runner Rug measuring 6 ft 3 in x 1 ft 4 in (192 cms x 43 cms). Originally servicing the family of the weaver as a Bestik (baby cradle) this is a Handmade, Vintage Wool, Flat-Weave Cicim Kilim Rug, woven in Far South Eastern Anatolia,Turkey by Tribal Weavers up to 60 years ago. Cicim Kilims are often referred to as "embroidered" weavings as the design motifs are applied "in addition to" the warp and weft (supplementary weft technique) adding a textured effect to the plain background.
