Distance Selling Agreement

This Distance Selling Agreement applies to all purchases made on turkishrug.com, operated by ALPA Technologies Ltd (UK company number 16997965) in partnership with Heritage Nomadic Art Gallery, Istanbul. By placing an order, you accept the terms outlined here.

1. Delivery Policy

Orders are dispatched within 3–6 working days of payment confirmation. You will receive an Order Confirmation by email at the time of payment, and a Shipping Confirmation with a tracking number once the parcel leaves Istanbul.

Estimated delivery times:

• USA & Canada: 3–6 working days from dispatch
• UK & EU: 2–6 working days from dispatch
• Rest of world: 5–15 working days from dispatch

Delivery times may extend during public holidays, peak periods, or in case of courier disruptions. International parcels are not classified as “lost” until 20 working days (25 outside Europe) after the courier’s expected delivery date.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide a correct delivery address. If a different address is requested after the order is placed, we will cancel the order; you may then re-submit it with the correct details.

2. Refund & Returns Policy

Our full refund policy — including how to request a return, conditions, and refund timing — is documented on our Refund Policy page. In summary: 14-day return window from delivery, free returns for damaged or mis-described items.

All sales on this site are subject to:

• The UK Consumer Rights Act 2015
• The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
• The EU Distance Selling Directive 2011
• Turkish consumer protection law where applicable

3. Right of Withdrawal

Under UK and EU law, you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 calendar days from the day of delivery. To exercise this right, notify us in writing (by email, post, or using the form below) before the 14-day window expires.

If your order has not yet been dispatched: we’ll issue a full refund of the order value (including any shipping paid) within 5 business days.

If your order has already shipped: you may either refuse delivery (the courier will return the parcel to us), or accept delivery and return it at your own cost. The rug must be sent back within 14 days of cancellation, in resaleable condition (clean, original packaging where possible).

Return shipment is at the consumer’s expense (unless the item arrived damaged or differs materially from the listing). We recommend using a tracked, insured courier service for returns.

Non-cancellable orders:

• Custom-sourced, made-to-order, or personalised pieces
• Items marked “final sale” on the product page

For international returns, please write “RETURNED GOODS” on the parcel and complete a CN22 or CN23 customs declaration. Customs duties and local sales taxes paid by the consumer are not refunded by us; consumers may apply for a refund of those directly with their local customs authority.

4. Right of Withdrawal Form

UK and EU law require that we provide a standard form for exercising your Right of Withdrawal. Use of this exact form is optional — an email containing the same information is equally valid.
