A sage-green medallion with salmon-coloured scrolls sits at the centre of a wine-red field in this vintage Kayseri rug, and small navy and gold pomegranate sprigs fill the corners. Several finely drawn borders in cream, sage, navy and rose surround the field. The pattern is softer and more floral than most of our Anatolian rugs. At about 2 by 3.4 feet it suits a bathroom, an entryway or a bedside.
