Woven in Karaova near Milas, this vintage rug is built from soft, sunny colours: a salmon-pink centre panel with a stepped outline, a wide saffron-yellow and ivory frame, and a border full of small carnations, trees and stars. Touches of red and slate blue give the pattern definition. The pile is even and the palette is warm but light, so it brightens a living room or bedroom without overwhelming it.
