Unique tribal design in "Nomadic Zagros" style Hallway Runner Rug woven by Tribal weavers in the mountainous regions of Zagros over 100 years ago. Tribal weavers in this region typically used high quality, 100% locally sourced natural sheep wool colored by vegetable dyes. Whilst remaining true to their primitive Tribal origins and due to their relative isolation, the weavers in this region combine the centuries old, rustic traditions along with more recent commercially attractive, finely detailed knotting and design techniques. Appealing to both the local and commercial trade Markets allows these skilled weavers to continue to make weaving financially viable and, therefore, to pass their rug weaving culture from generation to generation, long after it has died out in more urban settings.
