This is an antique Oriental Bakhtiari nomadic rug, estimated to have been woven 70 to 80 years ago by the semi-nomadic people of northern Iran. It is made from pure sheep's wool dyed with natural root dyes sourced from flowers and plant roots in nature. The designs feature tree and bird figures, reflecting the surrounding environment. The rug's condition is still excellent, and its very rare border patterns make it a truly special piece.
