This antique Eastern Anatolian Kars Kağızman rug was woven by local Kurdish people in one of the villages located at the foot of Mount Ararat. It was made using natural root dyes and pure sheep's wool threads, incorporating elements from the Mount Ararat vegetation unique to the region. The central motif is a double-headed eagle, representing freedom.
