Meaning 'dining cloth' or 'gathering table,' these square or rectangular flatweaves were placed directly on the floor to serve daily meals or share food during picnics. Because wasting bread or food is considered shameful in nomadic culture, the Sofra kilim acted as a protective barrier to ensure every crumb was saved and respected. Today, these authentic tribal pieces bring centuries of hospitality, warmth, and rustic soul into modern homes.
