Handwoven in shades of red and blue with beige accents this rug has very unique temple / mosque motifs featured in the central panel and a delicate floral design multi srtipe border. This tightly knotted, hand-made rug is woven after the Hamadan, Zanjan style, in Far South Eastern Anatolia by Turkoman Tribal Weavers up to 60 years ago. This rug features stylised central geometric medallions complimented by intricate floral motifs scattered throughout the central field and detailed borders.
