Measuring 7 ft 3 in x 4 ft 9 in (220.9 cms x 144.7 cms) and originally woven in the Central Anatolian town of Konya, this is an example of simple, domestic weaving typical of tribal nomadic weavers of this area, This is a 100% Handmade, Vintage Wool Flat-weave Kilim Rug, made up to 70 years ago. The simple striped design is vertically woven in shades of brown, orange and beige naturaly colored, locally sourced sheep wool and the colours in the rug have softened and mellowed over time to a more muted version of the original colours.
