Woven in the 1940s in the village of Avşar, located southwest of Kayseri, this exquisite rug was crafted using high-quality wool obtained from the local villagers' own sheep.
Notable for its traditional motifs, the piece features finely detailed figures of birds, ducks, and chickens—animals observed by the villagers in their daily lives and natural surroundings. Colored entirely with 100% natural plant dyes (madder dyes) sourced from nature, it stands as an authentic masterpiece of a deeply rooted weaving culture.
