Authenticity & Origin

Measuring 3 ft 2 in x 1 ft 6 in (96.5 cms x 45.7 cms) this is a lovely, hand-knotted small mat which probably began its' life as a floor / sleeping pillow or storage bag for everyday use in village homes or in tents on nomadic travels. This mat was originally woven in Central Anatolia, Turkey up to 60 years ago and is perfect for use in entry ways, in front of the sink in the kitchen or beside a bed etc.

Hand-Knotted in Turkey

Every rug is hand-knotted by master weavers in the villages of Central and Eastern Anatolia, carrying centuries of tradition. Each piece is made by hand with natural fibers and organic vegetable dyes — no two rugs are alike.
