Antique Turkish Kayseri Rug originally hand woven in the Develi Region of Kayseri Province in the Central Anatolia area of Turkey. This rug, woven Circa 1920s, is a lovely example of the finer quality and more intricately woven rugs which were produced at this time. This Rug features interesting detailed / intricate geometric medallion designs in a central panel which are complimented by the contrasting bold and simpler dedign borders. This Rug was woven from locally sourced sheep wool, naturally coloured with vegetable dyes unique to the vegetation of this sunny, milder climate region of Turkey
