Antique Turkish Kilim Rug originally hand woven in the Bergama Region of Izmir Province in the Aegean Coastal area of Turkey. This rug, woven Circa 1940s, is a lovely example of the finer quality and more intricately woven rugs which were produced at this time. This Kilim features interesting detailed / intricate geometric medallion designs in a central panel which are complimented by the contrasting bold and simpler dedign borders. This Kilim was woven from locally sourced sheep wool, naturally coloured with vegetable dyes unique to the vegetation of this sunny, milder climate region of Turkey
