Handmade, Vintage Goat Hair, Flat-Weave Cicim Kilim Rug, woven in the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey by Tribal Weavers up to 60 years ago. Cicim Kilims are often referred to as "embroidered" weavings as the design motifs are applied "in addition to" the warp and weft (supplementary weft technique) adding a textured effect to the plain background. This kilim features an overall "repeated" traditional motif enhancement in green, yellow, beige and pink on a brown, flat-weave background. Cicim rugs are generally one-sided (not reversible) and benefit from the use of a non-slip underlay to prevent moveent on smooth surfaces.
This beautiful Kilim rug is in original condition. Although the original weaver may be long gone, the fruits of his/her labour will certainly continue to bring pleasure to generations to come.
