Handmade wool rug measuring 6'6'' x ''10'' / 200 cms x 306 cms, originally hand woven in the town of Kayseri, located in Central Anatolia, Turkey. Kayseri has a long and rich history as one of the finest carpet making Villages in the region. In order to achieve the intricate floral designs for which carpets are renowned, these rugs are often woven from natural, locally sourced sheep wool on a cotton foundation. Hand spun wool and natural dyes are used in the majority of Kayseri rugs.
