Woven in Hacılar in the Kayseri province, this vintage rug centres on a large shell-pink medallion with a saffron rosette at its heart, set on a slate-blue ground of fine leaves and blossoms. Ivory and camel-brown leafy forms fill the corners, and a dusty rose border of palmettes frames the whole. The palette is soft and slightly muted, so it sits well in a classic or a modern living room.
