Vintage Turkish Rug, originally hand woven in the Central Anatolian region of Kayseri, Turkey over 60 years ago.
Measuring 6 ft 2 in x 4 ft 4 in (188 cms x 131 cms) this rug is tightly woven with wool pile on a cotton base. The use of cotton, once considered to be more valuable and prestigious than wool, allows for the weaving of these intricate floral design motifs which are typical of and unique to traditional Kayseri rug construction technique.
