This is a tribal, hand-woven Kilim constructed from 100% naturally dyed sheep wool, using the Soumak technique of flat weaving (often referred to as warp wrapping) in which the design elements are created by weft threads being wrapped back and forth around the warp threads to create detailed patterns and shapes. In this beautiful kilim, the primary base colour is beige / cream and is decorated by large, geometric and stylised floral motifs in brown, blue and pinkish-red. This kilim is not reversible.
