Distinctive Red and Blue with Yellow, this is a Antique Turkish Hallway Runner Rug measuring 10' 2" x 2'7" (310 cms x 83 cms) Featuring a strong and bold tribal design motif, this unique Turkish (Heriz style) Hallway Runner Rug was woven by Nomadic Kurdish Tribal weavers in the mountainous regions of Far South Eastern Turkey over 100 years ago. Using 100% locally sourced natural sheep wool colored by vegetable dyes. Heriz weavings remain true to their primitive tribal origins due to the relative isolation of these tribes who continue to pass their rug weaving culture from generation to generation, long after it has died out in more urban settings.
