Antique North East Anatolian Sivas Armenian rug with classic Oriental medallion design.
Circa 1900.
This excellent small rug was woven in the Armenian town of Sivas around 1900. At this time the workshops of Sivas were producing rugs of strong Oriental design influence, and in this case the design is a classic floral medallion design. The rug is of very fine weave and has a soft colour palette.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
