Woven in the 1920s in Western Turkey, this magnificent antique Bergama rug is one of the finest historical examples of its kind, preserved in outstanding condition. Hand-knotted by nomadic Yörük weavers of Western Anatolia, it features age-old tribal motifs arranged in a striking checkerboard compartment layout.
Origin: Bergama region, Western Anatolia, Turkey (Yörük / Nomadic Heritage).
Age: Antique (Woven c. 1920s, ~100 years old).
Condition: Exceptional vintage/antique condition with a full, lush pile and immaculate structural integrity.
Materials: 100% organic hand-spun sheep wool on wool foundation. Dyes: 100% natural root and vegetable dyes, exhibiting vibrant brick red, indigo blue, soft ivory, ochre, and sage green tones.
Design & Motifs: Classic Bergama grid/compartment panel structure with ancient tribal symbols representing protection, strength, and tribal identity.

Measures : 3'6'' x 4'6'' /(106 cmx 140 cm).
