Locally sourced sheep wool is hand-spun and dyed with vegetable dyes unique to the area and Konya rugs are renowned for the high quality of the wool used, the beauty of the colors and the durability / longevity of the finished product. This rug features a simple color palette with rust/orange/terracotta plain base and repeated Elibelinde (Hands on Hips) Traditional Motif in beige in a more contemporary design. Elibelinde is a stylized Turkish traditional symbol of a woman, representing motherhood and fertility.
