A very appealing Large Flatweave Kilim Vintage Turkish Rug with Embroidered enhancement in Orange Red and Purple. This Kilim measures 9'4'' ft x 7'8'' ft (237 cms x 183 cms). This is a 100% Handmade from locally sourced and naturally colored wool, this Kilim Rug was made in the Central Anatolia - Konya region, Turkey by Tribal Weavers up to 60 years ago. Cicim Kilims are often referred to as "embroidered" weavings as the design motifs are applied "in addition to" the warp and weft (supplementary weft technique) adding a textured effect to the plain background. This rug features traditional motif Diamond / Lozenge Pattern design enhancement on a Plain flatweave background. Cicim rugs are not reversible and, generally, benefit from the use of a rug pad or non-slip underlay to prevent movement on smooth surfaces or high traffic areas
