This is a Traditional Vintage Striped Turkish Flat-Weave Kilim Rug woven in strong Orange and Brown with Pale Green and White Cicim (Embroidered) enhancement. This rug, measuring 8 ft x 5 ft 8 in (185.4 cms x 172.7 cms), was Handwoven in the Sivas Region, a district of Central Anatolia, Turkey by Tribal weavers using locally sourced sheep wool coloured by natural vegetable dyes. Woven over 60 years ago, the excellent condition of this rug is a testament to the quality of the materials used as well as the artistry and skill of the original weaver. The basic, striped design, typical of these simple weavings made for dailiy use in the home of the weaver, is well suited to contemporary home decor trends.
