Handmade, Vintage Wool, Flat-Weave Cicim Kilim Hallway Runner Rug, woven in Balikesir Region of North Western, Turkey by Tribal Weavers up to 40 years ago. Cicim Kilims are often referred to as "embroidered" weavings as the design motifs are applied "in addition to" the warp and weft (supplementary weft technique) adding a textured effect to the plain background. This kilim features an overall Diamond pattern enhancement in pink, purple, pale green, brown, orange and white on a darker brown, flat-weave background. This is a 100% Genuine Handmade, Vintage, Flat-Weave Kilim Wool Rug, made in Turkey by Tribal Weavers up to 40 years ago. Cicim rugs are generally one-sided (not reversible) and benefit from the use of a non-slip underlay to prevent movement on smooth surfaces.
