Description
This Vintage Kilim rug was handwoven in 1960's in the Antalya region South Western Turkey by Barak tribal nomads who migrated from Eastern Anatolia to in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. This weaving style is the signature of the Barak weavers, with large and bold, zig zag patterns woven in vibrantly colored, naturally dyed sheep wool, said to be representative of the "bright" and "sunny" climate associated with Mediterranean locations.
