Our main retail business, operating in Sultanahmet, Istanbul since 1985, is situated along-side the magnificent Hagia Sophia and is today owned and managed by Ugur and Hasan Karaca, two brothers who, over many years, have built up a unique collection of nomadic and tribal handicrafts.

Our mission is to bring to the local and wider International markets authentic and unique contemporary, vintage and antique hand-made handicrafts and to enable the rediscovery and continued appreciation of traditional handicrafts and arts of the Turkish and wider Central Asian region which are renowned for having one of the oldest weaving and crafting cultures in the world and which have been admired and respected for centuries.

Heritage Nomadic Art Gallery specializes in unique and exclusive new and vintage nomadic kilims, vintage Turkish, Persian and other Central Asian rugs, textiles and other authentic tribal crafts which we have sourced directly from the villages and towns in which they originated and directly from the villagers and tribal people for whom the sale of their productions has traditionally provided additional family income

In response to customer requests, and with the aim of allowing our International customers access to our collection, we have established this new, on-line sales portal and our aim is to offer for your consideration unique, individual and exclusive hand-crafted items which we have personally selected from our extensive collection due to their suitability for on-line sale.
